Hibiscus Tea, Mate Terere
Ingredients: Hibiscus, yerba mate, stevia.
Product Information: A blend of tart hibiscus and earthy green mate, given a little sweetness from the addition of stevia. A tereré (yerba mate infusion) is traditionally prepared with cold water and ice, but this blend is great either prepared hot or cold. A take on Guayakí mate beverages, this blend balances out the leafy bitterness of the yerba mate. Contains caffeine.
Brewing Method: While brewing methods vary widely by tea and individual preferences, 1 teaspoon of loose-leaf tea is recommended for every 150 ml (5.07 oz) of water. Ideal water temperature for this type of tea is between 70 °C (158 °F) and 80 °C (176 °F). For the first and second brewing, leaves should be steeped for around one minute.
