FAQ

We will be closed from December 24- January 1, 2022. Happy holidays!

Our hours are 10-6 Monday-Friday, and 10-5 Saturday and Sunday.

Our phone number is (306) 954-2990, and we are located directly on the corner of Avenue D S and 20th Street W, at 401 20th Street W (where Soul Foods and the liquor store used to be).

If you have any inquiries, you can also email us at [email protected].

Has in-person shopping resumed?

Yes! We welcome you into Bulk Basket to fill your own containers or use our paper bags. Rest assured we are doing our best to offer you the safe family shopping experience you know and love in our store.

Our store continues to be open for pick up of online orders. We can’t wait to say a socially distanced hello! We are currently offering deliveries for a charge of $6 within city limits.

What are store hours?

Our current hours are 10 AM - 6 PM from Monday to Friday, and 10-5 on Saturday and Sunday.

If you placed an order online, you will receive an email confirmation telling you "Your order is ready for pickup" from Shopify. This is an automatic email that they send, but it isn't true! Please wait until you receive an emailed receipt from us. This will be your actual amount owing for your order, not the Shopify total.

There may be additional notes on the bottom of the invoice, please make sure to check it! It will say that the order was paid by debit when we send it to you, but this is just how we send the receipts. Unless you have actively paid for your order, we have not charged you! Call us at 306-954-2990 to reach us in-store if you have any problems with your order.

How will deposit charges and returns work now that you’ve switched to online payments?

Our deposit system for bottles and jars will continue to function as normal. You can continue to bring in your deposit jars for a complete full cash refund or have the amount deducted from your next purchase.

Deposit fees are always completely refundable and deposits may be returned between our opening hours. We recommend returning deposits when picking up your next order and having the deposits refunded on your order!

How do I change an online order that I already submitted?

If you need to add another item to an order that has already been submitted, you must place a completely new order. Alternatively, you can call our store and a member of our staff can help you add to or cancel your order.

Are you still accepting used containers?

Yes! Please continue to drop by and donate your used (washed and clean!) jars and support our zero-waste initiative.

We’ve put together guidelines for what is currently acceptable:

  1. Containers should be pre-washed, label removed and free of leftover food.
  2. Only jars will be accepted - no bottles, pumps, or spouts.
  3. Please ensure that each donated container has a lid!
  4. If the shelf for jars is full, we have reached our capacity and cannot take any more! Please try again later or call us at 306-954-2990 to check if there is space on the shelf.

We appreciate your participation in our waste reduction programs!

How is Bulk Basket maintaining best practices for sanitation during Covid-19?

All Bulk Basket team members continue to don our masks, but you can be sure that we are smiling underneath! Saskatchewan Covid-19 mandates require masking in our store, but as we are a grocery store, vaccine passports are not required (but appreciated!).

We offer pick-up and delivery and have implemented additional cleaning procedures to ensure our space is as clean as possible before serving you.

Can I leave my containers and pick up at a later time at Bulk Basket during this time?

Yes, you can now leave your own containers labelled at Bulk Basket for pick up next day.

Just be sure to leave your name and email, so that we can send you an invoice as soon as your containers are filled!

How do I return containers that I take home from a grocery pick up or receive through home delivery?

You can come by our store and drop them off between our opening hours of 10AM - 6 PM Monday to Friday and 10-5 on Saturday and Sunday.

Thank you so much for supporting our package free initiative!

How does Bulk Basket’s home delivery system work and how much does it cost?

To place a delivery order, check out our online store, choose your favorite products and select 'Delivery’ when you check out.

We are offering deliveries 2 days a week including Tuesday and Friday between 6 PM – 8 PM.

Do we still provide Senior, Student or Veteran Discount?

Yes, we do from day one of our journey and will not go away for any reason whatsoever. Just type in Senior, Student or Veteran in the Discount code area when you are buying online and it will be applied automatically.

When paying, we are only able to apply the discount if the payment method is cash or debit, due to high credit card merchant fees.

Is Nectar Juice Bar open?

Absolutely! We are excited to serve you at the juice bar and to offer a 15% discount if you bring in your own clean cup. Please note that drinks are quite large, with smoothies being 24oz. If your cup is too small to fit the drink you ordered, we will not be able to use it. Large wide mouth mason jars are acceptable as cups!

How do I pay with my gift card?

We are only able to process gift card transactions in-store (not through our website) due to issues with pricing and inventory. When online orders are being filled, sometimes we are out of a certain product or there are volume restraints or pricing differences. This leads to issues when paying prior to your order being filled.

If you attempt to pay with your gift card through our website, it will indicate that your gift card has been disabled. It hasn't! We are simply only able to process payments after your order has been filled.

If you have placed an online order and wish to pay using a gift card, simply write your gift card number in the "Notes" section and indicate that you would like to use it to pay. When we send you your invoice after your order has been filled, we will apply the gift card payment.

You are also welcome to pay in-store when you pick up your order, and can use your gift card then. This is simpler, as you may wish to change your order after your invoice has been received.

The website says my gift card has been disabled. What does that mean?

Your gift card is still valid, providing there is still a balance. We are unable to process payments prior to online orders being filled, so gift card payments must either be processed in-store or after your order has been filled.

If you have placed an online order and wish to pay using a gift card, simply write your gift card number in the "Notes" section and indicate that you would like to use it to pay. When we send you your invoice after your order has been filled, we will apply the gift card payment.
